Product Review—EcoTools EcoPouf Bath Sponge

by Dale Y the Green guy

You know what? Even The Green Guy likes to be clean, and once a week, whether I need it or not, I’ll hop in the shower and give my body a soapy going over. Of course, the most effective way to do that is by using a bath sponge to clean all of my pieces parts.

Now, being The Green Guy, I never use an actual sponge type sponge. Mainly because a genuine sponge is actually a living organism that is harvested from the ocean. So, I have always used a human-made alternative, usually made of a plastic or another not-particularly-environmentally-friendly substance, to shower with. But, since I would use a product like this for years at a time until it was falling apart in my hands, and the fact that I smell better when I am cleaner, using something like that became a necessary evil in the ways of showering clean.

Well to that end, I found the EcoTools EcoPouf Bath sponge made of 100% recycled plastic! Needless to say, I couldn’t wait to take my next shower.

As I always did with a regular bath sponge, I infused the EcoPouf sponge liberally with body soap, and washed away. It lathered up nicely in the sponge, but best of all, the recycled content was soft and literally, spongy! I couldn’t remember the last time I had so much fun in the shower! Although I do recall a special time with a rubber ducky, but that’s another story.

Needless to say, for everyone that uses a bath sponge to wash with, I believe you should try out an EcoPouf bath sponge for yourself. You really can’t go wrong. It was the same price as other bath sponges, it is made from 100% recycled plastic that keeps plastic waste out of landfills, and it works great!

How great does it work you might ask? So great in fact, that I will be taking more showers per week, whether I need to or not, just because it feels so good!
