E3 Spark Plugs Save Energy

Product Review - Can E3 Spark Plugs Save Energy?

by Dale Y the Green Guy

I always go into product testing with a neutral stance. Although I have high expectations for all products, I have been disappointed by many that say they do wonderful things, but really don’t do much at all. So when I first heard about E3 Spark Plugs, how they deliver better fuel economy AND better performance, I was skeptical, to say the least.

First of all,

they aren’t cheap. One E3 costs about the same as a box of other plugs, so I was automatically on guard from that moment on. Since I own a 4-cylinder auto, four plugs would cost me about 24 bucks! That’s some serious scratch for a set of spark plugs.

Second of all,

I put them in my car, started it up and expected nothing. I was right, my car started up just the same way as the plugs I had in before it. So I took it out on the road, and that was the first time I actually noticed something interesting.

Now, I wouldn’t swear by this, but my little 4-banger engine suddenly seemed to have a little more pep. It was difficult to tell, but something felt different. Every time I left a stop light, every time I went to pass someone else, it just felt like there was a little more ooomph when I stepped on the gas.

I had filled my tank up, and drove the car around for a week until I needed to fill it again. I filled it up and did a gas mileage check. Here is what I found.

My car gets about 32 miles per gallon, a bit more in the summer. According to my calculations, I was suddenly getting almost 35 miles per gallon–34.8 to be exact! That is a solid 3 mile per gallon, or 10% increase just by putting in a set of plugs. And because I thought I felt a little more power coming out of the engine, I was giving it a bit more accelerator pedal then normal. I may have gotten even better mileage had I backed off a bit.

For me, this means that I will have 100 free miles of travel for every 1000 that I go. At 3 bucks per gallon of gas, I will make up the cost of these plugs somewhere around the 2000 mile mark.

Whether these numbers work for you, I can’t be the judge. But I’ll tell you what, they work for me! From now on, my cars will all be running with E3 Spark Plugs, no doubt! Want to check out the plugs yourself, head on over to www.e3sparkplugs.com
