Go Ahead, Eat Your Fork
I read the article about the great floating island of plastic that is contaminating the Pacific Ocean with dismay. It is hard to believe that we have allowed so much garbage to get dumped into the water. Remember the garbage barge that was being towed up and down the Atlantic coast looking for a home. Nobody wanted it – what ever happened to that barge?
Have you ever been on a picnic and used a plastic fork to dip out the relish, another to stab a tomato slice, another to scoop some potato salad, another to handle some jello, another to dish up the apple pie and another to eat it all with? After the meal you gather up all the plastic-ware and toss them in a plastic garbage bag. Well, you will be happy to know, this process maybe coming to an end.
Plastic out, plants in at EcNow. With new picnic-ware being developed at EcNow, instead of tossing the plastic fork in the garbage bag, you can toss the fork into a compost pile and thirty days later it turns back into, well plant stuff. The fork is made out of plant based polymers. The new recycle fork is already being used at local eateries. Check out this and other recyle products at ecnowtech.com.
This sounds like great news for the fish that have not been able to get much food value out of a mouthful of plastic.

Well, I’d better get back the picnic, take a nap, have dessert and eat a spoon…Donames
