Raise Your Hands, Who’s ready to Save Power

Energy and the changing landscape, raise your hand if you want to save power.

Right now, my advise to you, both Democrats and Republicans, is to be pro-active within the energy revolution. Energy as a resource and energy as a God-given-right is changing and we, the consumers, had better be ready to change with it. Get a little insight into the energy changing business by reading the rest of this article.

Things are so serious in the energy arena that Universities are beginning to compare energy instincts between Democrats and Republicans. Read on.

Democrats are more likely to lower their energy consumption in response to energy reports sent by their utilities, while conservative households may actually increase energy use, according to research from a  California University.

The researchers estimated that Democratic households in liberal neighborhoods that buy green power and support environmental groups responded to the energy reports by lowering their energy use by 3 percent. Democratic households that were also large energy consumers cut their consumption by 6 percent.

Republican households that don’t participate in green power programs and don’t donate to environmental groups actually increased their energy consumption by 1 percent.

Let us present just one question to both Democrats and Republicans, “Are you interested in wasting money on energy?” Well, that’s better, I think I hear a common answer. Liberal or conservative, not wasting money is common ground. Yep, I think the energy religion is changing, are you ready?
